Did You Know?

Rulers haven't always been marked with the standardized measurements we take for granted today. Early measurements were often based on parts of the human body, giving us units such as the foot, hand and cubit. As standardized systems developed, rulers made it possible to reproduce measurements much more reliably. Flexible tape measures came later, making it practical to measure fabric, bodies, curves and other things a rigid ruler couldn't easily handle. For crafters, having both within reach covers an amazing number of projects.

How To Make It

Trace your sun visor brim onto the paper. Cut the peppermint candies off of the pic. Test fit your candies on the drawing of the brim until you get it like you want it. Mark a tiny dot onto the sun visor brim where each piece will go.

Start from either side and put a dot of hot glue onto the peppermints or candy canes and place where your marks are. For the candy canes we found it best to put 3 small dots on the candy cane before affixing to the sun visor. Repeat for each placement on the brim, working your way toward the other side of the sun visor.
