Make this fun crocodile keychain with a little cord and pony beads. Reptile and animal lovers can make the crocodile in their favorite colors and even personalize it with alphabet beads for a name, nickname or other short word. Its long beaded body, legs and tail make this an especially fun pony bead animal project.
This crocodile is a great summer camp, classroom or group craft and makes a fun addition to a key ring, backpack, bag or zipper pull. Make one for yourself, share them as handmade gifts, or make several for club, school and group fundraisers.

2. Begin weaving the beads onto the cord following the pattern at the top of the page. You can click on the image for a larger, better resolution photo.
3. After finishing the pattern tie a double knot in the cords at the bottom and apply tacky glue to secure.
4. Three or four beads can be strung onto the end of each cord as a finishing touch (This is optional and not included in the bead count in your material list.)
(Seed beads or E beads can be used in place of pony beads to create smaller characters.)
5. Weave your wire or pipe cleaner through your crocodile to make it stiffer and hold it's shape.
