Show your team spirit with a beaded football keychain made with pony beads. Choose your favorite school, college or professional team colors, or create your own combination to personalize the design. The finished football makes a fun addition to a key ring, backpack, sports bag or zipper pull. Make several for teammates and football fans, give them as handmade gifts, or use them as an inexpensive craft for school, club or team fundraisers.

The colors used in a pattern are always only one possibility. Choosing a different color combination can take the same design from playful to elegant, seasonal to everyday, or traditional to completely unexpected. Be bold and experiment.
1. Find the half way point of your cord and double knot it onto the keyring.
2. Begin weaving the beads onto the cord, following the pattern shown above.
3. After finishing the pattern tie a double knot in the cords at the bottom and apply tacky glue to secure.
4. Three or four beads can be strung onto the end of each ribbon/cord as a finishing touch (optional)
(Seed beads or E beads can be used in place of pony beads to create smaller characters.)
