Fun and easy to make, this key ring is great for your key ring, to share as gifts, or to make for fund raisers.
Change up the colors of your kitty keychain to create a one of a kind collectible. Have fun coming up with color and style combinations. Ours uses hot pink glitter beads for the body and blue glitter beads for her eyes. The outside edge is done with an assortment of different pinks, including neon and pearl styles.

People were sticking things together long before there were bottles of craft glue. Some of the earliest adhesives were made from natural materials such as tree resins, plant gums and animal proteins. Over thousands of years, adhesives evolved from these natural mixtures to the synthetic glues we use today. Modern crafters can choose from white glue, tacky glue, hot glue, fabric glue and many specialty adhesives—each developed to bond particular types of materials or suit different kinds of projects.
You will need one connector such as a 
Lanyard hook,
or any type of 
Key Ring.
Cord:
You will need about
1 1/2 yards of cord for your kitty.
There are lots of different types of cords you can use.
We prefer a cord that is 1mm to 2mm thick because it helps your kitty keychain critter keep it's shape better. Alternatively, you can use a thinner cord and weave a little wire or a pipe cleaner into your feline keychain friend to help it keep it's shape that way. Either way works just fine but you can experiment with it to see which method you prefer.
One good choice is
Monofilament Cord
or
2mm metallic cording.
Other good choices would be:
1.5mm Pink Hemp cord,
OR
1.5mm Pink Leather necklace cord. This is what we used.
OR
1.5mm Pink Satin Rattail Cord,
OR
1/8" Pink Satin Ribbon
Beads needed:
2 - Blue Glitter Pony Beads for the eyes.
18 - Hot Pink Glitter Pony Beads.
Helpful Hint: If your cord end frays easily try dipping it into a little melted wax and smoothing it out with your fingers. This will help prevent fraying and also create a stiffer end for threading into your beads.
Other Things Needed:
GlueOptional: For a stiffer kitty you can include a little wire or a pipe cleaner with your cord to help keep it's shape

3. After finishing the pattern tie a double knot in the cords at the bottom and apply glue to secure.
(Optional) Weave your wire or pipe cleaner through your beaded kitty keychain to make it stiffer and hold it's shape.
The illustration below uses green and blue to show you how each cord side is threaded through the beads. Your cord, of course, will be all the same color.
Follow the same pattern using seed beads or E beads in place of pony beads to create smaller characters and create a great pair of earrings or a necklace pendant.
